About

Around the age of 20 I developed a certain interest for landscape.
This was strengthened by my first trip abroad, to the south of England.
There I saw landscapes I had always dreamed of, landscapes that in a way
already existed in my subconscious. Now I have found them. Through the years
I made many happy returns and travelled all over the British Isles and discovered
that the best way to explore it, is by walking. When I did this I felt the need to
photograph these beautiful places; gentle hills, craggy mountains, rugged cliffs,
neverending coastlines, desolated beaches and impressive rockformations.
 So it’s not such a surprise that many photographs on this website
 have been taken in the United Kingdom. The past 10 years
however have also taken me to Iceland, Norway and
the Yellowstone National Park in the U.S.A.

Deep within there’s that everlasting longing to visit, to see with my very own eyes and
to experience places of great beauty.
The remoteness and tranquility I find in these places refreshes the spirit and brings joy to life.
